Counting His Miracles

This is it.  Today, I decide to start counting God’s provisions and the miracles He make happen all because He loves us and honors our faith in Him.

While reading the book of Jeremiah, it struck me how stubborn the Israelites, esp. their kings were in opposing the Lord.  It shocked me how they heard about God’s warning and still did what they wanted to.

There was a time, though, when only a few of them were left and the land was devastated, when they inquired of the Lord.  I thought their questions were apt: 1. where should we go; 2. what should we do.  These are the same questions I’m asking.

Then the Lord assured them that He will save us if they stay in the land but will punish them if they opposed Him and did otherwise.  It just proved that the result is not because of any definite thing they did.  When making a choice, the children of God don’t immediately put their intellect and security first by determining to go somewhere prosperous and safe.  It lied on how they followed God, thereby honoring Him.  However rich or safe a place is, if you have disobeyed God, His sword will hunt you down and the plague will over.  So Ate Imel had a basis when she said that if you just do what you did, not what God wants you to do, you will end up being miserable.
