Today’s Media & the Bible

Posted on May 29, 2009. Filed under: Inspiring Lives & Realizations |

I have often asked myself why the bible characters who are supposed to be renowned – Solomon the wisest, David the great warrior and Job are not so popular nowadays.

I guess this shows the great disparity between what the world holds dear to what God values.  It doesn’t help that the media has been revolutionized and that they have their own agenda.  It’s clear that people can manipulate the media.  Even in the pieces – people, places and things on the news are not necessarily the most important.

Those who gather news are people.  I can just imagine, even if they’re bright people, they’re not exactly infallible and they have different interests.  How can they compare to God in determining the most important things?
